Sharmila Mahesh, the founder of Sharmila Ashtanga Yoga learned it as a child from her grandfather the renowned Yoga Guru- Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. He was a follower of Patanjali school of yoga and introduced the concept of Ashtanga yoga to the modern Indians. Ashtanga yoga translates as 8 limbs of Yoga; practising them together works wonders for the human body and mind. Sharmila takes students from all backgrounds and trains them according to their needs and capabilities.
